Bond Vet Expands MADE New Graduate Program In Strategic Partnership with Ready, Vet, Go

Bond Vet is thrilled to announce a significant expansion of our MADE (Mentorship, Advancement, Development, and Education) new graduate program through a new partnership with Ready, Vet, Go, a leading veterinary mentorship platform. This collaboration aims to provide our newly graduated veterinarians with comprehensive support in professional development, wellness, and community building.

Ready, Vet, Go offers a six-month, RACE-approved mentorship program that complements clinical training with essential non-clinical skills such as client communication, time management, financial literacy, and leadership development. Participants engage in self-paced learning modules, live workshops, and small group “Pack Meetings,” fostering a supportive community of peers and experienced mentors.

As part of this initiative, new graduates will have access to unique resources like a session with veterinarian and financial planner Dr. Ryan Koopmans and membership to the Veterinary Well-Being Buddy platform with CEO Melyssa Allen. “Bond Vet has long worked with Melyssa Allen to provide support to our associates and teams at no cost, and we’re very excited to broaden our relationship by giving our new graduates access to a platform dedicated to connecting our community with research-backed tools for building a sustainable career,” says Chief Medical Officer Renee McDougall.

Bond Vet’s partnership with Ready, Vets, Go is thanks in part to Dr. Gay Smith, Senior Director of Medicine and Operations and leader of Bond Vet’s D.C., Virginia, and Maryland clinics, as well as a long-standing mentor of Ready, Vet, Go and a passionate advocate for professional skills development in new graduates.

“Serving as a mentor with the Ready, Vet, Go program over the past two years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my veterinary career. Supporting early-career veterinarians through the challenges and triumphs of their first years in practice is a deeply personal mission for me—not only because I’ve walked that path myself, but because I believe our profession grows that much stronger when we continuously lift one another up. At Bond Vet, we’re committed to pairing clinical excellence with meaningful mentorship, along with a strong foundation for personal growth & comprehensive wellbeing, so both pets & people are set up to thrive,” said Dr. Gay Smith-Pike, Senior Director of Medicine & Operations, DMV Region, Bond Vet

Bond Vet is proud to be pairing the expanded development offerings for new graduates with an equal investment in clinician mentors. Dani Rabwin, DVM, founder and CEO of Ready, Vet, Go, will lead an expanded mentorship workshop for Bond Vet mentors and adjunct associates. The workshop will focus on cultivating a culture of mentorship within clinics and identifying practical tools to make mentorship both effective and fulfilling.

“We’re so excited to partner with Bond Vet to support their newest doctors. Their commitment to mentorship and professional development is clear, and it’s exactly the kind of culture we love to champion at Ready, Vet, Go. These new grads are in great hands—and we’re lucky to be part of their journey. Together, we’re helping to build the confidence, connection, and long-term success that keep early-career veterinarians thriving in this profession.” ~ Dr. Dani Rabwin, Founder and CEO, Ready, Vet, Go

“The MADE New Graduate Program has already set an industry standard by offering a comprehensive mentorship experience that supports new graduates on their path to clinical competence. It also acknowledges that new veterinarians, though newly licensed, deserve to be properly compensated as professionals. By investing in the development of our youngest associates, we uphold our mission to strengthen the human-animal bond while reinforcing our core values of community, culture, and medical excellence,” said Dr. Renee McDougall, Chief Medical Officer at Bond Vet.
